Biking in Almonte


Mississippi Mills Bicycle Month

There are bike events in Almonte, Mississippi Mills Bicycle Month. We stumbled upon it searching for lunch in Almonte, and the Hazardous Waste Depot!


We found both, as well as a lot of bikes.
We skedaddled out of town before the race itself. The Depot closed at 3 p.m., and they were still getting ready for the race! 



No, not me, still haven't gotten the bike ready. But I will!

The bikers were serious dudes and chicks.
Some car drivers were just stupid. What about a "No Parking" sign do you not understand??!! Volunteers were working their buns off!

    Races like this are good but they can sure throw everything else out of shape.

    ...ironic....we had a bike 'race' yesterday also. It messes up traffic, to be sure, but still ---it raised money for a great cause.
