Nothing like spring to put a spring in your wings

These birds, flickers, were quite happy. Sitting on our split rail fence, they are in love!
Look at my beautiful tail!

They saw me taking photos

Look at the beautiful red on my neck!

Ignored me to flaunt some more!

I am beautiful, love me!

I spotted some red-winged blackbirds doing a dance, too.

    This dance is an awesome spectacle. Very few pictures have been taken of these rituals.
