What a great actor! She had guts and courage, and was one of those funny divas we adore! She passed away early this morning from a stroke, at the ripe old age of 76.
Agree with everything you say EXCEPT "ripe old age". 76 is way too young to go. Amazing how one's perception of age changes as we get older ourselves. GG was such a fun show.
I tell you, Sallie. I've seen 80 and I've seen 90 and I've told my daughter it's the raft, in the middle of the lake, with a case of Muskoka Lakes wines and I'll be a happy camper. There are way too many unhappy seniors out there, stuck in long-term care.
Many, many are happy and healthy but those who suffer truly suffer!

I LOVE Rue, and never tire of watching the Golden Girls, their humor is ageless.
