how old is old?

You are never too old!
To enjoy taking photos of ordinary things.

To live, laugh and play.

It is a terrific thing just to do things that are just fun. Ordinary things, like chipmunks.

The old photos are fun.
Pets, now long gone. Only memories.

At the 'cottage' before the cottage was built.

Well before MY time!
My Parents Were Awesome. (An interesting site!)  Here my parents, when they were courting.

Dad (Ray Jilks, 1925 - 2007) and Uncle Aust (Austin Forsyth, 1900 - 1989) preparing to go fishing at the cottage.

We had such good times in the summer.

Don't you love the stove?!

  1. I like these old photos. It's great that you have such continuity of place—all the history and memories—with where you now live.

  2. Nice tribute Jenn! I am just starting to work on scanning old family photos. I liked the "never too old" too -- as someone who has a couple of kids who would fit in your bloggers over 50 category (if they blogged)-- I can use all the encouragement I can get to be "NEVER too old !

  5. Your Father must of been the gentleman caller that came calling, and won your Mothers heart.

  6. Beautiful photographs, Jenn. I don't recall any of my family looking that happy, having that much fun. Your video made me smile, too.
