The oak leaves have been stuck on the trees. The others buried under layers of snow. With the melt of the snow cover they are freeeeeeee - able to dance again! The wind has been wicked, blowing them until they get stuck to the ice and water. The heat of the sun melts a little puddle under them and they sink. (I tried to keep it a wordless Wed. - but it does require some explanation!)

I especially like the maple leaf, where the texture of the ice is clearest!! How odd that the leaves are each alone in the water!
