First frost!

The season unfolds as it should. Leaves are falling. There is a smell of Autumn in the air. I'm whittling away at chores, just like Barry Beaver.

Guinivere guards the garden. The bright red leaves are the yellow primrose. The gift that keeps on giving!

This is the dogwood beside the primrose.

First frost, just a small one in low lying areas, like the back yard! Oct. 10th

Toadstools in the front yard, along with horse chestnuts. One must trod carefully.

  1. Yes fall is coming in hard this weekend. We are to have a hard frost this weekend which is a bit late for our area, but with the climate issues not to be unexpected.

    Love the fungi!
On a walk yesterday I did find some wildflowers still blooming! Soapwort!

  8. Autumn is definitely make herself felt! We still have very warm afternoons. On clear mornings there is a touch of frost on the roofs, but once the clouds returned, the frost stopped.
