Last year's kit came back. The one who spent winter under the shed. At least I think it is her. I was watching from the deck. One miniFred ran out to see her, and got close, then ran away.
I figure I'll call her 'big Fred' since she isn't a kit anymore, and is in her second year.
The miniFreds are quite affectionate, and bonded.
I need to stain the middle deck to preserve it. I am going to have trouble with this!
Everyone uses the stairs!
We had a massive storm go through. I've some images of some very wet groundhogs, who then look like muskrats. We had 21mm rain (nearly an inch) and things are soaked.
Big Fred looks healthy, if damp.

Happy Vibes to see last years kit back. They are all so entertaining and I appreciate you for sharing them with us. I feel like I know them and they are my babies too. Your deck area looks so nice!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe the kits know that even though she's not their mom, she's still one of them, perhaps a surrogate!
ReplyDeleteThe little ones are so cute.
ReplyDeleteAll the Freds, they are so fun to watch. Will the smell of the stain keep them off of the deck at all?
ReplyDeleteCute photos of the groundhog family.
ReplyDeleteTake care, Happy Monday! Have a great week!

ReplyDeleteQuite the tribe! YAM xx
So not Mama Fred
ReplyDeleteI LOVE how you share the Freds. It's great how each knows who to trust and who to run from. Loved the videos and photos of BIG Fred.
ReplyDeleteYou've got to put ear tags on these characTERS SO YOU CAn identify them.
ReplyDeleteYou have a haven for groundhogs there.
ReplyDeleteJust put a flat pan of deck stain at the bottom of the stairs. Those Freds will get that deck covered for you in a flash. Linda in Kansas
