Caitlin gifted me with a hanging planter for Mother's Day. It's been chilly, so I bring it in at night.
A joy to behold!
All these hobby farms, people are planting.
I tucked it in the garage until we warm up a bit. Basil, marigold, petunias, some veggies the critters will eat! A hanging basket of cherry tomatoes, as that's about the only safe thing I can grow. Those critters love the bounty!
This is a Hollyhock. I am hoping Fred won't get this one. She piled dirt up on my last one and it didn't recover. The fuscia the hummingbirds like.

ReplyDeleteLots of gorgeous spring colours - including your coat! YAM xx
...too chilly here too!
ReplyDeleteI want to buy flowers soon too, we have to wait until our morning are above 50°. Happy Friday! Have a great day and a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteI would have complimented you on that great coat too (and I do!). Don't you just love going to the nursery? You made quite a hall. I finally put geraniums outside last night (hopefully to stay, though who can tell) but basil and others will at least overnight in the garage for a bit. I have to get more basil plants and other herbs to pot up for the lake. Those pansies are so pretty! And I love that fuschia!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the long weekend!
ReplyDeleteSo many beautiful plants! I got some bulk seeds and am hoping to expand some areas I don't want to mow.
ReplyDeleteI had to thing of critters eating the plants too!
I'm so very tempted to plant at least a few flowers, though I will give them away when (whenever) I move across the country. So glad to see your beauties.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like we are on the verge of weather change, so planting should be good. We only have two hanging baskets at the moment. We'll purchase some bedding plants, but we don't need too many.
ReplyDeleteYou will have a colorful yard this summer.
ReplyDeleteOh how fun! The hanging basket is lovely - I can see why your coat got compliments, I love the bright color!
ReplyDeleteNurseries are great. So many pretty flowers.
ReplyDeletePlanting in early spring is so exciting, my hollyhocks all were self sewn, your hanging baskets are a great way to have the display at a taller height.
ReplyDeleteI am going to wait a couple of weeks before planting anything.
ReplyDeleteYou need to have a word or two with Fred, and the frisky offspring, hmm?
ReplyDeleteI have stopped trying to grow vegs. I rely on my neighbours'. excess. If any.
We had a couple hot days earlier in the week, but last night and tonight are getting down near zero.
