Saturday's Critters

We've lost a lot of snow. Again! I went with a new header. Who knew there were deer out there?!

I zoomed in... two pairs, Momma and fawns.

This is the last of the snowfall, I hope. With that, likely it'll be the last of our deer visitors. They disperse into the forest.

Who goes there in the dark?

 Fred has arisen from slumber!

It is brutal out there! It was -10 ℃ this morning.

  1. I can't believe the difference in snow cover from there to here, considering we don't live to far apart. We easily still have a foot of the stuff everywhere but the plowed spots. I judge the level by the horse fence, which is still not showing the bottom rung, AND in full sun all day

  3. Woo Hoo....I send land with no snow. Spring is on it's way. Glad you zoomed in to allow us to fully see the fawn and the doe.

  4. Still pretty frosty for you up there! I love your videos, Fred especially. The raccoons going up the steps like they owned the place and a hungry looking coyote.

  5. So topsy turvy, but you are definitely looking like spring. The deer disappear in the warmer months?

  7. Amusing. The deer yard up around here in Jan, Feb, and come back when the snow melt allows and hang out all summer. ON my rock garden, a lot of the time. It is out and away from the blackflies, is what we figure.
The groundhog, in that pose, looks like a tiny beaver. Same curve of back.

  8. Lots of critter action out there. I think they get their time to go and have to get out there no matter what the weather is.

  9. It's nice to see Fred. Love the deer. It's so cold there still and here I had to turn the AC on.
