It's been a whirlwind, literally, of rain, snow, graupel and wind. Poor critters! There was 5 cm snow Friday.
And this one is missing a paw. Another has a weird-looking tail!
Early Sunday, the robins were singing two different songs.
Good Bunny Labbit is still doing well. She likes the deer food.
After the coyotes took down a fawn, the crows were around helping clean up.
We had a red-headed woodpecker!
The cardinal and robin look great in the snow. I like seeing Butch!

What a little survivor that racoon without a paw is! I saw a red headed or piliated fly by the other day!

ReplyDeleteWe got about ten cm. yesterday with another 5 to 10 forecast for later today or overnight. I could barely get the car into the yard to unload groceries this morning because it was a slick kind of snow with our uphill lane. I expect Michael will be plowing tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteWe lost a fawn to coyotes (unless it was sick, or had an injury that was the cause) and it was my displeasure to see what was left of its carcass for several days while passing the bush behind our yard. And if not, well, coyotes have to eat too. We still hate to see it happen. -Kate
ReplyDeleteOh no the poor fawn! I know "Nature red in tooth and claw" but still hard sometimes. The cardinal really pops out in the snowy landscape.

ReplyDeleteAs warm as it is HERE today, it's so hard to think that there is snow still in your area. I did have a window seat on my returning flight home on Monday and as we flew over Canada, I could see lots of snow. It's 94 degrees here today...
