More snow!

 We celebrated in our own way! Joe Brian is Irish on his mother's side!

Even after the melt, the wetland is still frozen and Barry Beaver slumbers. Of course it has refrozen with this roller coaster weather.




I had someone email me to ask about this bird feeder! I had to explain that it was adapted for my needs. I wrote about it here. The curved topper is from one source, the tray feeder was a gift, and the base I bought at Lee Valley. I McGyvered it! 
While the topper is intended to be a squirrel baffle, it works to keep the rain off, and to stop birds pooping in the feeder.

After the coyote kill, it came back a couple of days later but decided there was no need.

    We had a little dusting of snow/ice . I ready for Spring.
    What did the coyote kill, it would spook me to have one hanging around. Take care, have a great day!

    We still haven't bought trail cams because Farmbeau can't seem to make up his mind what he wants. Meanwhile we examine tracks in the snow and are never sure what's been around the house. -Kate

    That is a very classy feeder. Our baffle is tin, constructed by JG and it, sad to say, gets pooped on regularly.
    The YD's dog's tracks are a distraction trying to read who was here, but ... he's a good guy and she cooks when she visits AND cleans up after herself. Love her a lot.
    I have heard geese twice, so there is some open water somewhere.
