Last Patio Lunch!

We watched the weather forecast, and decided our last patio meal might have to be Wed., Sept. 3! When we arrived we realized we'd be eating with the upper crust!

There was nothing on the car to say what it was, but on the licence plate holder, a Corvette!

Yes, a patio!

It was warm and lovely. I just wish the guy behind me wasn't wearing so much cologne! Whew!

I went, armed with my camera and my camcorder.

I've never wanted to cottage on an island. It just makes me nervous, especially at our age!

This barge is one of the working boats on the water!

The osprey were busy. Soon they will migrate south. When the river is cold, with ice, it's not good fishing weather!

Spotted at home!

The geese were out and about. The chicks have grown to adult-size! Where did the summer go?

It was a good day to go. On Thursday, we had some rain. The leaves are turning, and it's getting chilly!

  1. Ah, a patio lunch means eating by the lake at a restaurant! How nice, and thanks for sharing your lovely outing with me. You and Ms. Osprey will be tucking in elsewhere as it becomes cooler. We also had rain with a spat of hail on Thurs.

  3. Is that the Opinicon? I just saw something about it yesterday on FB. And Wheelers has posted their fall hours. Time is marching on.

  4. I'm a little envious! This morning it was 49 f when I got up and of course the house was cold, the skies gray and spitting rain and 30 mph winds, with whitecaps on the lake. With a little heat in the house it would be a good settle-in day but with two layers of clothes and a heating pad on my lap, not so sure! Even Lizzie is hunkered down by the space heater! So lunch on a patio seems like a miraculous dream to me!

  5. It looks like it was a beautiful day. Maybe there will be more nice days ahead before winter hits us.

  6. What a fun lunch, although the aftershave smell probably put a damper on your meal!

  7. What a beautiful day for an outdoor lunch. We must take advantage of the sunny warm weather before the chill descends. Here it's still very warm, but rain is possible beginning Sunday.
