Katydid and the Bee

 Things continue to get cooler and cooler. Sept. 3rd, 27 ℃ , by Tuesday morning, we were down to 4 ℃.

I still have blossoms on the vine, but they won't come to fruition!


We bought these two Rose of Sharon plants last year. They survived.


I checked the eavestrough, and it had debris. 


The maples at the end of the driveway are beginning to turn colour.

A little, teeny katydid on the trumpet flower.

There was drama, however, as a bee decided to visit. Katydid wasn't happy and hid.

Don't blink!


The hosta is in bloom. 

An orchid spider on the Hibiscus.


It was a foggy morning.


You can see the horse chestnut tree leaves drying up and beginning to drop off.

    Nice series and like the Katydid shot. We live in north central Illinois and recently noticed a few trees starting to change color. Not ready for winter, but we're sure enjoying the cooler weather.

    There is a lot of activity in a garden. We are noticing how the evenings are so much cooler, too. I envy you the colour of the maples. When we drove across Canada two years ago I was stunned by the red along the mountains and hills.

    My hostas haven't bloomed in years. My Rose of Sharon bushes are doing great after I transplanted cuttings right before the parent plant died. Adorable shots of the katydids.
