Art in the Garden!

There were two choices for activities on the weekend. 1. The Smiths Falls Pow Wow and 2. the Kiwi Art in the Garden show.

We were so tired after our time in the city last week.  We were overwhelmed with fatigue, but we felt the best choice was to visit the quiet grounds of Kiwi Gardens, to amble around in the woods. The commencement ceremony was very intense!

We parked, and made our way through to the main house, and the displays of amazing pieces of art.

Isn't this a fun sight?! That sculpted metal leaf was just amazing.

This is our friend, Scott, who builds fences and amazing pieces of art.

The metal sculptor does amazing work. Her owl was spectacular.

They have an amazing rural property. The trees shelter us and protects us. It began chilly, and then warmed up.

The water treatment pieces are amazing!

Isn't this sweet?!

This is a new part of the festival. A medieval display of not so much crafts, but items that helped make life easier.
Six artisans and craftspeople, all connected to The Cordwood Folk Studio will demonstrate crafts rooted in Medieval times.

This piece, on a cobbled area, is so much fun.

  5. Just look at you standing in that wood framed structure. Add some blankets (aka skins) and you would have a nice little hut. I love seeing sculptures in natural settings. After all, they are really too big to be inside anywhere!

  6. How beautiful, Jenn! The water treatment pieces are fantastic! It is hot and humid right now here in Montreal, I hope we get some rain. They are saying possibly tomorrow. Thank you so much for sharing these beautiful photos!
