Well, my American friends, the ride begins here in Canada! Our PM has prorogued parliament. He shut 'er down, until March 24th. Unlike your race, between mango man and Kamala Harris, there is no comparison between these two, PMJT and the opposition leader.
Pierre Poilievre (PP), our opposition leader, and our potential new Prime Minister, is warning about 'wokeism' leading to a 50% increase in hate crimes. We know that isn't the case. It is angry, ignorant, white Canadians attacking mosques and synagogues. Violence is down. There are some who call PP Republican lite.
He's never had a job, other than in politics. He's a millionaire. He spent Christmas in India, doing heaven knows what.
Our newspapers are reporting less than the horrific truth about what PP has been saying. There was an interview done by a misogynistic former professor, fired for refusing to use students' preferred gender and pronouns, as well as other issues.

Holy Cow! Your poor country! Just when we US Americans wanted to flea to Canada! This new conservative movement is certainly scary. I guess it will flare, have some really bad things happen in both our countries, and maybe then some people will start to listen to reason again. I may not live so long, but you and your wonderful grands will! As we started to do in the first 4 years of the cheato in power, we can, and must resist whenever we can!
ReplyDeleteSigh. We face many of the same issues here. Like you I choose and give support where I can (wishing I could do more). And don't get me started on the insanity of waiting for the 'trickle down' effect to take hold.

Sounds like your guys are taking a page from DT's playbook. Scary as all get out. That's happening here. I always though Canada was the reasonable place. Another illusion shattered.
