Welcome to the weekend! I must admit that I slept in. Just preparing for daylight savings. Spring is early, and the birds are singing. I worry for our critters, as the bears will be up early, too. The sap is flowing, and syrup makers are on their second boil.
March Break begins here in Ontario. Great excitement. The kids have plans! I shall continue to try to trap this visitor cat, but it isn't going well. He's been sighted a distance of 7 km apart, seeking food. Now that the snow is gone he'll be less likely to appear here.

As much as we look forward to spring, we do not look forward to tick season! It is also time for you to get out in the woods hunting the antlers the deer shed recently! I think I shall do that tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteI finally looked up Martens and Fishers...because I know I wouldn't know the difference if I sighted one. They are similar but different! Loved seeing the bounding deer. It probably doesn't get much chance to do that in the woods.

ReplyDeleteI think the coyote had been chasing the deer way too long cuz he's starting to act and run like one. The fisher just seems like a giant ground hog and I don't think I'd like to meet one up close. Linda in Kansas
