Saturday's Critters

Things have been busy. Our temperatures for the week went up and down. A lot. I was putting up lights in a t-shirt. It was lovely.

The bears are up for the winter. They were a gift for Grampa from the kids one year. They looks so nice with our early sunset.

The deer are hanging out together. It is rutting season, and the females and fawns will hang out together here. It seems to be a doe winter yard, as the males hang out together elsewhere, for the most part.

The bouncy fisher came by.

The coyote ambled by with something in its mouth. I have no idea what.

This is the deer scrape, where the bucks make their marks and leave their smells. Apparently, the doe thought it quite interesting.

Here is the buck!

  6. I haven't seen a deer in ages, but my across the road neighbour called to say our "friend", the big buck, was standing in his yard yesterday afternoon. We were so happy to hear he made it through hunting season hanging out on private property.
