There is a wee cottage for sale on a nearby lake. I am always shocked with house prices. It is a two-bedroom/one bathroom/four season cottage for sale. It's $599,990! It's on lake water, no well, and there is a water treatment system.
It's the bungalow on the right for sale. This is the satellite photo. It is the one middle left for sale.

Back to the land...
The coyote is just a shadow in the dark. Now that the bugs have lessened, I imagine there will be more critters out and about.
The great crested flycatcher. It's a great challenge trying to videotape them.

We were sitting watching our post-dinner TV when I saw the Common Mullein plant swinging left to right, and back again. Running to the front window, I was fascinated. woodpecker
House prices are crazy.
ReplyDelete...waterfront property is expensive here too!
ReplyDeletePrices are indeed crazy on houses and cottages!
ReplyDeleteCottages used to be very reasonable...not any more.

ReplyDeleteConsidering that place needs a total refurb (at least in my view), that's a heft price. But I too am amazed at what folks will pay... YAM xx
Housing prices are something else these days. Even here in Oklahoma prices are skyrocketing and houses are selling in just days.
ReplyDeleteAt least it is in a great position [unless it floods]. My daughter used to live in London where you probably would get a tiny flat for that amount.
ReplyDeleteYes home prices are crazy:(
ReplyDeleteThey could probably sell all the old collectables for some hefty prices too, the umbrella vase, the old typewriter, and the stuff in the garage. Ditto to prices here too, a few years ago we could buy a lovely home for about the $245,00 or so. Now that will get you a bare section, and a similar home now would be in the range of the $410,000 and well upwards. We could not afford to sell and move, taking into account the land agent's fees. But to be right on the water would be a dream for many. Stay where you are Jenn, you have land that gives you privacy and no near homes nearby.
ReplyDeleteHousing here is over the top, too. It's a good time to sell if one is thinking of it.
ReplyDeleteI can barely afford a tent.
ReplyDeleteYou wonder if the woodpecker is getting anything from that.
