First they took down the barn, then they took the homestead apart and moved the farmhouse.
Things were put on hold, as there were endangered barn swallows in the shed. (They are still there. )

The farmhouse is gone, only the shed remains. They've created a walking trail.
It's a great spot for birds. First, a phoebe, and then a song sparrow.

August will be here so soon, well done to get that appointment. Did they tell you no bending over or driving for a while afterwards!!! Love the barn with a curved roof, almost to the ground.What tales it would hold.
ReplyDeleteJenn - what an interesting story. Glad they preserved the shed for the swallows. From the little I know about swallows, they tend to return to the same nesting sites year after year, so that shed may be there to stay! Enjoy your weekend!
