A rock and wasps

The 5 goldfish are happy with yesterday's rain. There are still 23 froggies, as well!

This is my favourite rock. I sit on it, and clean out the goldfish pond pump.

A nest of wasps have moved in. They are harder to photograph than I would have thought.

You can see the yellowjackets buzzing about. I have a problem! I've dug it out, moved the rock. I cannot find the nest. This has happened before, they nest in mouse tunnels.

Everything is put back, and I managed my task. I think they have moved on. I hope!

In the meantime... down in the meadow on the trailcam:

Lovely to have a pond, lots of nature going on there. Great photos and great videos. Your cam trail ones must be fascinating to take a look to see what has passed by.

I hope they have gone, down here they also have nests in a tunnel, we had t smother one as they were so nasty, and I worried that the cats would get stung badly. Night traffic is still busy at your place.

glad you got some rain, cannot believe the sudden flooding in downtown Toronto and other areas.

Peak time for yellow jackets. I have a nest right in my raspberry patch.
