Who is out and about?

The cardinal hunkered down at the feeder, under the eaves. Better to get out of the snow. We had several inches yesterday. Tom Turkey popped by, all alone, for a scavenge of the feeders. You can see how insulated he is, as the snow sits on his back.



The feeder is a busy place. For those who like to sit and watch them, as I do. Rabbits, red squirrel, deer, mourning doves.

Fungus on my walkies. The forest is soft and quiet.


♪♫♩Ohhh, the owl came back, the very next day! Yes, three days in a row, not far from my sighting the previous day. Again, the blue jays were giving it a hard time.

    Wonderful videos. Thanks for sharing . The owl looks so beautiful. I don't think I would get much done around your house. Always so much to look at outside!

    Brave birds! Brave you! Just like people, some cardinals are here this time of year -- they are snowbirds just like us I guess.
