Perth Kilt Run Marathon 2016

That was fun! We were into town to see a show Saturday night (more later), and saw the half-
Yam, from Scotland/Australia
marathon. There are signs everywhere! I love the Smart Car! We took dear Yam to see the Scottish store! I didn't even think about the Perth Ontario Kilt Run 2016 and Yam, from Scotland! I should have planned ahead better, but we began planning in the spring for her visit here.

They were counting down for the run in the Scottish Shop!

Saturday's run.

Then the marathon, Sunday morning from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. We hustled out of bed for an anticipated 6:30 pass-by. They had entrants from all over. I believe this first man came from Africa, so rumour has it in town! He was sprightly, definitely a pro!

I'm still getting to know my new lens, and 6 a.m. isn't the time to learn it, so I apologize for some out of focus people, and in focus background foliage! The deerflies were terrible, and we both have bites. Other than that it was a wonderful morning. The afternoon might include a nap.

Butch and Cassidy were out and about, angry that I'd locked the cat door in the garage. They were in the house at 2 a.m., Annabelle chased them out, but they left their disgruntlement behind. (Here they were at 2 a.m. in video.) First through, was Kenya's Gilbert Kiptoo. What an amazing runner!

Perth Kilt Run Marathon: 42km (26.3 miles), beginning at Rideau Ferry.
