The Blue jays are going nuts over the peanuts. They empty this feeder in 2 hours. It keeps them away from the other feeders, and the sunflower seeds, giving the smaller chickadees, nuthatches and woodpeckers a chance at the other feeders.

Then, on a beer run, I spotted a hawk flying in a cemetery. There were two, one flew away!

Hello Jen, great variety of birds. I love the cute nuthatch and woodie. Cool sighting of the hawk! Thank you so much for linking up and sharing your post. Have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteThe heart shaped birdfeeder is quite unique.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting atMuldoon.
Good morning Jen, lovely bird sightings, bees and pretty flowers. Wishing you a happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteYep, it looks end of season for sure. I love seeing the hawk photos!
ReplyDeleteYep, I was in Bala last week. It's beautiful right now!
We're getting the juncos and white crowned sparrows back this week. The birds are such fun to watch.
ReplyDeleteLovely birds! The hawk is gorgeous. Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteThe hawk shots are amazing! I've noticed a couple of jays here in town recently.
ReplyDeleteNot so sure about the wasps, ( I react to any stings!!) lovely feeders, but the hawk, he is stunning, and great you managed to get those super photos when he is looking down.

ReplyDeleteDefinitely a sense of the seasons in this series... beautiful. YAM xx
Incredible bird images. I loved this.
ReplyDeleteAt this time of year birds are finding food supplies and setting up territory.
ReplyDeleteWonderful critters. I love the Blue Jays going for the peanuts in the cute heart shaped feeder. In one of the pics, the hawk is starring at you from under the branch!
ReplyDeleteI see a few bees left at my flowers, but I haven't seen a wasp in about three weeks. For me that is good, I hate to get stung. - Margy
ReplyDeleteI like your peanut feeder idea as a distraction for the bluejays to give the smaller birds a chance at the other feeders. My half dozen bluejays here are getting away with daylight robbery! Even my caged feeder isn't safe from them.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! Loved the hawk, and that heart-shaped frame around the flying blue jay!
