I know, for those on the other side of the earth, it's winter. I happily share our flora and fauna for you!
I will look back at these images in our winter and breathe it in deeply. Enjoy each moment. It is brief and fleeting.

Here we are, selfies on the new dock.

Daisy has a horrible deerfly bite. They are awful this year.

I'm thinking that these are the first instars of the Elm sphinx. We shall see!

The 'barn cat' is happiest in and around the house. Daisy, I could smack her, has been crossing the highway for greener pastures.

Good morning, beautiful post and images. I love the birds and blooms. Happy Monday, have a great new week ahead!
ReplyDeleteAn excellent botany/entomology tour, Jennifer. Poor Daisy with her deer fly bite. I was thinking how much easier it is to spot things on a white cat than darker coloured ones.
ReplyDeleteCheers, Florence
Great series of photos. Poor Daisy! Those deer flies must be big!
ReplyDeleteAnnabelle, she is so contented, and as for Daisy, is there any thing like stretchy bungy wire you can string along your grass edge, with bells, tassles, or anything to stop her.. after all, there won't be a "cat crossing" like we have on walkways. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous flowers... Poor kitty with the fly bite, ouch! In the winter, you will be able to look at your pictures and revel in the memories!
