Poor Bambi! Covered in snow. Thankfully, they have fur coats. Often, it's self-inflicted, as they chew on the White Pine needles, bringing down the snow on their faces!

We've had many birds at the feeder (Blue Jay, Chickadee, Nuthatches, Woodpeckers, Junco, Goldfinch) but here is a 'new' and most recent visitor. They sit in the Catalpa tree, waiting in some invisible queue until their turn at the feeder.

ReplyDeleteThe purple finch is an important sighting. we see very few of them here. i haven't seen one for years.
