Cat walkies in the forest –they're still keeners!

Daisy keeps up with me.
She's like a little dog.
It's awful walking in the forest. With several inches of frozen snow on top of the ice, you have to be careful with your footing. The cats trip along the top of the snow, as do the turkeys. The deer, not so much. It depends upon where you step.

Me, I found some spots where I can walk, or slide. It's treacherous on the side walk, which I have blocked. The driveway is a skating rink. Hubby fetches the paper using a walking stick.

The frog pond is frozen!

Frog pond in spring, for comparison!

When we finished our forest walk, back indoors for a good play in the warm living room!

Time for Saturday's Critters, I hope you join in on the critter party.

  4. brrr it looks jolly cold out there. Not sure if our cats would cope in the snow - not that they have seen snow. Loved your video of your black and white cat against the snow.

  6. Do be careful. I'm hearing from several bloggers who have taken falls this winter season.

  7. Such lucky kitties. We had to rush our Stick Tail to the emergency hospital last night with some kind of internal mass that was distressing his urinary tract. We are waiting to hear if the doctors think he is a candidate for surgery. He's 23, so I'm not sure what they will say. - Margy

  9. You should try those ice walkers that go on over tennis shoes. They really help. Daisy looks cute in the snow.

The kitties certainly seem to be enjoying this time! You on the other hand - be careful!! My sister just yesterday morning slipped on black ice and although no serious damage, is a bit stiff. YAM xx

  12. Our cats never go outside. The door opens, they sniff the air, and turn around and go back to their window sills for the sunshine.

Oh I bet the driveways and sidewalks ARE treacherous.
