  2. Fun pictures and the turk makes me HUNGRY!!! But my question is WHY did you BAN those poor old turkeys from your table for 5 years (even though the birds probably appreciated it)? W.C.C.

  3. Didn't ban them, so much as didn't have a real thanksgiving. Family was far away. I was unable to deal with it all. Hubby doesn't like turkey, either, as he used to have to kill the chickens on the farm when he was a youth. We managed to get some of our family together and it was a celebration!

  4. We went out for dinner. The last two times I tried to cook turkeys were disasters. I've lost my touch, and they're too heavy to wrestle with, anyway.
I'm so glad you could get some of your family together. It looks wonderful, especially with the children!

  9. It looks as if you had a wonderful (and delicious) Thanksgiving. Young children make any holiday more special.

  12. It's always nice to get the family together. I think Canada does it right, not so close to Christmas.
