This year, we are up to 6 this month. There is some controversy around the injections. I seem to be able to get them off, though. And only 10%, they say, have Lyme Disease. It takes 24 hours for the bacteria to get into their systems from a tick's gut. That said, there are other issue around tick bites. I grew up in the Oka...Eeuuww, I forgot about ticks.<br />I grew up in the Okanagan Valley in BC, and our pets were always getting ticks, sometimes my brother had one on him, too. Ugh.<br />We're going there in July for my 50-year high school grad reunion, then we're going to the coast. I've told my husband Lindy needs to have a shot because there are fleas at the coast, but I forgot about ticks in the Okanagan.<br />Summer in BC. Gotta love it. Gotta hate it.<br />Here in Alberta, winters are so cold that many such dreadful critters can't survive.<br />Sigh.<br />KKay L.
