Phoebe nesting 2018

Our phoebe have done it again! I've kept track of them over the years (see below).

There are lots of citizen science sites.
They have nestled back into the shed. I was quite relieved. I thought they were flummoxed by the cold days we had.

May 1st – the shed

We have seen and heard them for weeks, as they've flown about, catching bugs.

We do not have this bird in the Netherlands.
But strangely enough the swallow has not arrived yet ...
Everyone is worried, because there were heavy storms over the ocean ... did the birds survive?

Are they still eggs, or are there babies?

Very few phoebes here. We've never seen one on bird watching. They are here though.

I like the way their nests get higher and higher each year. I have one that will be too close to the eaves soon.
