Book Review: Bone Box

I like snagging an author and reading all her books, in chronological order. This isn't the case this time! I was desperate for a book. I knew what I wanted to find, more by the author of Message in a Bottle. I'd borrowed a couple of these from my client. However, I couldn't make the dang computer work at the library, having forgotten the author's name. Maybe if I type it here I'll remember! Nicholas Sparks. SIGH.

Anyway, I sauntered by the 'To Be Shelved' cart and found 6 of Kellerman's books. Someone was also binge reading! I picked up one and really enjoyed it. I have two more, on loan, on my night table.

Bone Box

Faye Kellerman | Bestselling Author
It's a good mystery. I like her writing. Her female character, Lazarus, is a strong one. She is prolific. I find good writers get better over time.

There is action and suspense, in addition to the mystery about the bones they found.

But what I found timely was the family (Lazarus and Decker) were hosting Passover meals. I relearned a lot that I had forgotten,  many are celebrating Passover this week.  Kellerman writes of keeping a Kosher house, as well.

About the Book  from Harper Collins

In this thrilling chapter in Faye Kellerman’s bestselling series, Rina Lazarus makes a shocking discovery in the woods of her upstate New York community that leads her husband, police detective Peter Decker, through a series of gruesome, decades old, unsolved murders, pointing to a diabolical, serial killer who’s been hiding in plain sight.

I had quite forgotten about her. She was alright if I recall.

I've read several of Faye Kellerman's mysteries and enjoyed them. Have you read any of her husband's? Jonathan Kellerman. Like you, I love to find an author and read everything of his/hers. Thank you for reviewing!

I haven't read a Fay Kellerman book in a long time. Maybe I should take a break from BC books and read something more relaxing, if you consider crime books relaxing. - Margy

I've read some Jonathan Kellerman but never Faye's work. It's always nice to hear that another series that is available to binge is worth reading. Thanks for the review!

A Passover mystery sounds cool! We call that meal a Seder. Thanks for your review!
