Twitterpated goldfish

Finally, mid-July, the water lilies in my goldfish pond have blossomed! As I was watch before 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, I noticed they were dancing about. They are usually very hard to photograph. I like to keep track of them. I think there are about 8 of them. Last year, I brought in about a dozen babies, and they all died in the fish tank after about a month. The kids took some home, for their fish tank, and they died, too. The adults were fine.
With all the rain we've been having, and the water barrel that collects rain water, the pond has been flowing nicely. I haven't had to top it off much, even on those hot days. There is much evaporation.
We don't have any frogs in the pond, as of yet. They move in when the vernal ponds dry up after spring, but it's been way too wet.

I hope you enjoy the fishies dancing!

The fish provide something to watch every day.

We have some flower barrels out front, and we've had to pull out the flowers that were drowning in all of the rain.
