Spring slowly churns

Things are popping around here. The ticks are on the move. Tick count = 9.

Dorah seems to be making progress. We went walkies and she launched herself up a tree. She has been a good girl. I have hopes.

Wood ducks are due on Monday! I tiptoe onto the dock, to check out the pond, but the two male mallards fly off, quacking and warn her. Sure enough, about 20 seconds later, out she pops.

I'm checking for the barred owl chick(s) to branch sometime. I have little notion when. This is their nesting cavity. The first stage is for them to get up out of the nest, and sit, while testing out their wings.
The bugs are horrid, and I have to wear long sleeves, and use bug spray.

The trailcam shows Maggie is still pregnant!

My mistake was to put the feeder back up. I seriously thought... It was between my two planters.
Well, they don't see too well, but they smell very well. sigh.

This is its fourth appearance.

Hello Jen, I love the wood duck coming out of the box. The bear is cool. I am glad Dorah has been a good girl. Thanks so much for linking up. Happy Wednesday, enjoy your day!

Daisy isn't sure of that black thing!!! Maybe you need a really loud shrill whistle. It'll be so good when we see any chicks.

The feeders have to be gone now until those big bears go back into hibernation.

I'd be worried about the bear. He's been at your place too many times.
