First Spring Canoodle!

I don't usually go out on the weekend, but it's early in the season, lots don't have their docks in.
Except for one boat, with men screaming, it was quite quiet.
The birds were busy flirting in the trees (yellow warblers, American redstarts).  Just delightful sounds. Others were floating about (mallards), and the Canada geese were watching over their chicks. Some, like the sparrow, are working on a nest. The grackles had taken up positions, as well.
Lots of basking turtles, as well.

Top speed 4.5 km/hr., total distance = 2.5km, on a trip that lasted ~47 minutes, the stretch across the lake with the red circle! I remembered to turn on the GPS after I'd begun.
Numb bum, but it was worth it!!! Two days later my arms are still sore. The trick is to go out regularly. It's pouring rain today, so no trip.

It was a nice weekend, but last I checked there was much rain in the forecast, so paddling may be problematic for some time. Maybe the forecast will change.

Brave boating lady! Beautiful way to get close to nature from a different angle. I enjoyed your painting in the post below as well. I imagine it does use a different part of your brain.

Canadian Geese babies, beautiful. How far do you have to go to get your canoe in the water? A hot bath, massage in some smelly liniment, and you will be all set for the next trip.XXX

Good for you to get out. Yes we get sore arms and bums but we have to keep at it.
