Grandsitting March Madness Day 4

This is day 4 of a fun week!

Grandsitting March Madness Day 1

Grandsitting March Madness Day 3

Cats were ornery at 5:30. I got up to feed them. I gave up and watched some of my taped shows.
Isabelle was up at 7:00!
Then, breakfast sausages and waffles for brekkie.
By 9:00 we were ready for work. Hair brushed, teeth done, pit stops and hand cream.
At 10:00 Jos had been working on her March Break homework (darn teachers!), question 2/10 done. Grampa was grocery shopping.
"How about we go outdoors," Gramma wonders.
Isabelle said, "Let's play: I'm the Gramma and you are me!"
     "OK," says I.
"You have to go home to Mama," she proclaimed.
"Sure, and Mama can look after me," I responded!

Then, she realized her power! "I say we watch Wild Kratts!"
"Sure, but you have to operate the clicker!"
"Oh," she replied doubtfully, but she figured it out!

Cats are taking turns sitting on their snow pants bag!

Grampa brought us some flowers, then he tried to have a nap!

Playing outdoors

Jos and I shoveled off some of the ice. We were quite intrigued to find indentations. Where the leaf had fallen, it had absorbed the heat of the sun, and melted a perfect pattern in the ice!

Isabelle, on the other hand went up the hill, across the pond, back to the other side of the pond, into the forest. She's the Energizer Bunny!

Crafts

The hair salon!

They had a two-for-one kids' cuts sale at the spa in town. They were so good to us! Each girl had a hot chocolate! Back home, we had fruit snacks! Isabelle's hair looks wonderful!

Bedtime was fun. Izzy had a nice bath.  I bought a frog and 3 babies for a play toy, but the funnel and plastic measuring cup is fun, too!

We read another in the Sir Cumference series, the first, actually. She's such a math girl, our Izzy.

Meanwhile, Josee was cheering on Ottawa's Jeopardy winner. Then bedtime, with one cat under the filing cabinet (Daisy) and Annie sleeping on her feet!

Grampa may not have had a nap, but I am sure that he didn't mind. There's something about a cat on the lap.

It's good that you get the kids outdoors and that they are having fun. March break homework? Utter madness!

Assigning homework over the March break just seems wrong!

the next best thing to winning is cheering on another to a win! Seems there was some spontaneity in this day which suited everyone. That Ice Leaf is something else!!! YAM xx
