So good to get outdoors!

While former Hurricane Matthew turned into a cyclone, it dragged water and dumped it onto many homes in eastern Canada. We had sunshine and nice temperatures. The storm wreaked havok in the Maritimes. It's horrible in Haiti, especially for the poor. Out east, in Canada, basements are flooded. I cannot imagine this much water. (50 mm =  about 2" of rainfall.) There are 20,000 without power in Cape Breton.
Back here, at home, many of us were watching the US debate. Such a horrible man, Trump, who blatantly lies. "Do you know, it was just announced that murder, is the highest its been in our country in 45 years?" (Not true, just fearmongering for his base.)

He's marched through his Miss Teen pageant's dressing room, where the teenagers were getting dressed. Happily, civil rights lawyer, Gloria Allred, is taking up the case and demanding footage be released of his confessions, and he be charged. That is the good news.

I take heart in the people around me. There are so many good people in the world. Children are running and laughing in the Autumn leaves.
All the rumours that kids aren't going outdoors aren't all true! Jos (8) came to us and suggested we have a family walk! We found a woolly bear caterpillar (Pyhrrarctica Isabella). They overwinter as caterpillars.

Nature provides us with so much, and we can leave the politics and disasters behind, if only for those moments. Love your words today and the pics, showing family time together that is so special.

My brother lives in the Debert area of Nova Scotia, so that was right in the path of Matthew on its way out.

Trump has to be as low as the GOP can go. Surely.

As usual, your post covers a number of topics. It's rather ironic that Trump threatens to put Hiliary in jail when he's such a sexual predator.

All those affected by the hurricane are in my thoughts. The devastation is awful. As for this election, I've never seen anything like it. It leaves me speechless. I can't comprehend how asinine it has become. I keep thinking it can't get worse, and bingo, it gets worse. On the bright side your photos are real smile bringers.

Agreed; Trump is a waste of human oxygen. Lovely photos!

New Jersey was spared for the most part. I visited the beaches and there was no evident new erosion!!
