Paint Party Friday

You'll recall my last (2nd) paint and sip: Paint Party Friday.
I added some details. Probably overdid it, but it was fun! My 2 grandies in the boat, a fire, a butterfly and castle.

I prefer the sharpies and small markers for the details.

My first effort: I did some painting! I did some snow painting...Paint Party Friday: wait'll you see!

Then some sketching. The first is from a blog buddy's photo (found it), the second the waiting room from yesterday's post, trip #50 into the city for medical issues.

Not overdone at all. It's beautiful, as are the sketches below it.

I agree with you about adding detail in Sharpie. You can really see the difference they make in your painting. Love the photos on the right.

You really caught the mood of the waiting room. I went to the lab yesterday so I have a fresh remembrance of what you've drawn.

I've been doing more sketches in my journal, but no painting. I'm more crafty than artistic I think. I like the top one with the boat and flag. - Margy

I'm enjoying your painting and you have a great eye. In my world a 'paint party' is when I go with friends to one of those studios that guide you through the painting (it's one step up from paint by numbers) ... and with wine!! Fun stuff, but I'm not artistic or creative and you would laugh at the whole thing!

Fun is the key point!!! I love the 'peekaboos' in your sketches... was at the National Art Gallery of Scotland last evening for the private opening of the RSA Open exhibition... sissy managed to pull me away before I spent a fortune I don't have. May yet pop back for another look (and possibly a purchase...&*>) YAM xx
