Conservatives and NDP stalling the physician-assisted suicide bill

Physician-assisted suicide is the law. The government has to get moving on this. It is a citizen's right. GET ON WITH IT. Pass Bill C-14.

It was a juvenile stall tactic, to stand in the middle of the hall, choosing not to sit down for a vote that has been called. I'm pissed off. My husband has cancer. We want to know that physician-assisted suicide is an option if we need it. It's the law. The Conservatives stalled this bill for years. It's time to move. Shame on the Conservatives. Shame on the NDP.

There is a deadline of June 6th, when the Supreme Court said this must be done. Mr. Trudeau moved into the melee to physically move the whip to his seat. He accidentally elbowed one of the offending MPs, Ms. Brosseau, who was trying to stall the vote. The other parties, as well as grandstanding trolls, are making a mountain, rather than focusing on the issue.

Trudeau apologizes after being accused of manhandling, elbowing MPs

Video from the House of Commons shows New Democrat MPs gathered in the aisle as Conservative whip Gordon Brown stood waiting behind them. Mr. Brown needed to be in his place for the vote to begin. Mr. Trudeau strode quickly across the aisle and pulled Mr. Brown forward past the NDP group, which included leader Tom Mulcair, at the same time elbowing NDP MP Ruth Ellen Brosseau behind him. Mr. Trudeau and Mr. Mulcair then began shouting at each other as MPs gathered around.

This is an item which is being debated the world over; governments would do well to understand it will not go away and in the 21st century, mankind may be mature enough to make this decision. YAM xx

I agree with you completely, Jennifer. I thought the speaker should have ordered everyone to their seats before time got to be an issue. I'm totally on Justin's side!

Elbowgate was mildly Canadian, eh? I'd kind of like the bill thwarted as it doesn't go far enough. As a Liberal supporter, I am quite disappointed.
