NaPoWriMo Day 12 – index poem

Day 19

Object, index, symbol, sign
they are an indication of our time
No matter just the ABCs
technology comes in 123-s
Time was we'd ignore the phone
beck and call- that serious tone
Music booming from the cars
sound like stuff we'd hear on Mars
Give me simply peace and quiet
no way I can even buy it

I agree with Yamini, could well be sung. Lovely words about ED, and so true. Both Hugh and I have had the long wait at ED, and at least one time for each of us, not even a second wasted in waiting, almost indecent hast as we were rushed into a room and looked at immediately. Die, it probably went through our minds at that time. Others did. we were so fortunate to be well and able to come home later. Love your other signs, and even with technology today I still use the huge Dictionary my Dad gave me many years ago.

Oops,I see a spelling error in my words just posted!!! After all, there is "past" and " paste" so why not a "hast" that should have been "haste".!!! And I see that hast is archaic and seldom used today>

I love peace and quiet, can't understand why the younger neighbours can't be outside without the thump thump thump in their music. I'm sure future generations will be deaf.
