Turkey vultures on clean-up duty

Yes, a sad sight, but they do clean up. They are huge creatures. I realized what they were after, when I spotted them on the fence.

It looks like a marmalade cat was smucked by a car. Drivers go pretty quickly on the way from Kingston to Ottawa. We've lost 2 cats to this.

Cool series on the vultures. I feel sorry for the kitty! I guess they are not street smart. Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Happy weekend! Wishing you and your family a Happy Easter!

So sad but when someone once told me that vultures were nature's clean-up crew and helped prevent diseases, I thought more kindly of them. Poor little cat though.

Turkey vultures are a very different kind of bird. They can find food very quickly.

Poor cat. Still, excellent captures on the vultures.

I keep watching for the crows or ravens to be making a fuss. I have the idea that they will lead me to the remains of my poor kitty.
