August flora and fauna

Daisy and I went walkies. She is too funny, lying in the grass, leading me out to 'The Point.'
When we circled around to head to the pond... we found a red-belly snake. It looked either well-fed, our about to pop out some babies!

Once at the pond, she ran ahead and promptly lay down on the dock. I counted 5 bullfrogs.

Back at the house... Last night, Dorah, as is her way, brought in a large Cicada. I caught it with the bug catcher and put it outside in the night. The next morning, there it was on the back deck. I put it into my hanging planter.

Two green frogs in the goldfish pond. Bambi was on the other side of the car sitting in the driveway.

Annabelle and Dorah had some time with the wild catnip.

They helped me do some gardening. Supervised, loosely, perhaps. The birds are loving the berries!

what a lovely wander through your wilderness! Crikey though; in OZ you wouldn't be picking up the 'red bellies'... they are much blacker on the back, grow to a metre or longer and have a very unpleasant bite! I love cicadas. No such things here in Scotland (except for the tinnitus...) YAM xx

You live in a very lush area as far as vegetation goes.

Cool finds, Jenn. For some reason I NEVER see snakes. Hmmmm
