Day 1 & 2 Babysitting July

That was a fun couple of days. Two down, 5 more to go!
Firstly, the Empress and I did role play. When we went to the tree house, she was suddenly Hermione.

We picked our peas, planted in spring. I left them too late. It's the process, not the product! Sigh. They taste terrible, although she braved a pod.

Day 2 started off slowly.
I'm tired I sleep. I itchy, I scratch!

Now, to explain. I have it in my head, a phrase my late mother would use, 'breakfast on the lanai!'
Terribly decadent, anyway. I picture a breeze, lounge chairs, privacy curtains swaying. Maybe a Hawaiian movie she saw? I don't know. Anyway, Day 2 was hot and sunny, began with breakfast and dress-ups.

My poison ivy is coming along. I had an unexpected infestation where there was none before. When I built the dock I wore long pants and/or boots.

Grampa explained that he has a momento of the late Sadie-cat. He gave Jos a little cat necklace to remind her of Annabelle, when she's back home. Iz, of course, was given a necklace, too!
Viceroy!

Isabelle and I, while playing around the pool, gave Daisy some catnip. Heavenly!

We cleaned Grampa's fountain. Daisy relaxed.

After a marathon shopping trip (Jos and Grampa: groceries, treasures, pool toy boat), while Is and I played Empress (making Fairy Perfume), I took the girls canoodling. Grampa had a nap!
Jos counted 31 geese! We paddled to the other side of the bay, where we beached and the girls switched places. Try that Mr. Pro photographer, Justin!

Any pro photographer can snap a turtle photo. Try balancing the 400mm lens, two kids in a canoe, with one of them paddling. The wind was picking up, too! The 2nd photo shows a dragonfly as painted turtle hit the water!

Photo taking, as you are paddling, well done.. I think the one and only time I was in a canoe, I almost fell out into deep water!!! Lovely turtle.

These kids will never forget some of the experiences they had with Grandma. You are showing them things for the first time. I also think grandma will have great memories.

Heartwarming post and is there anything as sweet as a sleeping child? Absolutely darling :)
