Brockville Tall ships, Harbour, & Market

What a lovely daytrip. Only two tall ships, but it was free to board them. You could go on the 4-hour tour later, but we chose not to. It was a fundraiser for both ships. They teach young people to sail.
The regular Saturday market was fun, too.

catfish down in the harbour!
I had an uncle, Austin Forsyth, born in the US!
Cat motel!

Back across the train track. The juxtaposition of small and large homes with businesses is striking.

Brockville is one of my favorite places to visit. My ancestors were there about 5 or 6 generations back. I'm sad that we missed the tall ships this year.
What's the story behind the gazebo with the bizarre sign? Closed, Dead inside?

Oh, yes, Karen. It was some sort of kids' camp or race or event. I didn't bother asking!!!! Too weird for me!

Love those photos. It does indeed look like a lovely town. We should make an effort to visit this summer. Thanks for sharing.
