Saturday Critters: cats

It looks like a cat face!

Dorah likes the sewing machine box.
Her buddy, Kidspiration, she is holding hands!
Daisy - resting
Sadie likes tennis! We were watching the semi-finals.
Saturday's Critters #40
Her daughter, dear Isabelle, is in a class of 33 students. I had sent a tweet to a reporter covering the story. The reporter decided to interview her.  I wrote an article on it. (OK, several.) and someone needs to question the Ministry of Education on this. None of these staff members have Early Childhood Education Training. They are trained to teach school-aged children to reach curriculum goals, not manage the biopsychosocial needs of preschoolers.
Caitlin, allergic to cats!
She was interviewed for CBC TV regarding the
Full-day Kindergarten class sizes.

Stuffing 33 wee ones in a room not designed to hold –that many kids should violate fire marshall's laws. I have questions about full-day kindergarten, form the point of view as a teacher or 25 years, and someone with a degree in Early Childhood Education, having taught JK - gr. 8. I've seen what crowded classrooms does to at-risk students. They throw blocks, bite and hit.

I hate to see our school system try to solve problems by creating new problems. Hmmm.

Cute kitties! Both of my kids went to 1/2 day kindergarten and I think that is the perfect amount of time. 1/2 the kids to help get used to being in school.

That's too many kids in one class.

Love the cats! Yes, it is so unfortunate to have so many kids in one classroom. Is there only one teacher, with no helpers, as well?

I think everybody agrees with you on the numbers...even the idiots who legislate such numbers.

Cute kitties! It's the same everywhere I think. They save money by increasing class sizes both in kindergarden and in school.

My daughter went to full-day Pre-K and full-day Kindergarten and did quite well - with much smaller classes than you are describing. How can one person handle 33 children at that age?

33 is a large class, it seems the school is overcrowded! I love your cute kitties, adorable photos., Thank you for linking up , enjoy your week!

I so agree, it is a large class and a half day seems right. There is a teacher and an ECE, but still, there is such a small space for them all.

It's terrible that our kids are "institutionalized" instead of going to a fun place to learn and play. Your cats are adorable. Nice captures.

That's sad about the crowded Kindergarden classes. Cute dresses! The caterpillar looks a little like a Gulf Fritillary caterpillar, do you know what it is?
