Caterpillar - Spilosoma virginica (Virginian Tiger Moth)

Caterpillar from Jennifer Jilks on Vimeo.
Caterpillar– I think: Spilosoma virginica

Spilosoma virginica Virginian Tiger Moth

Isn't it sweet? Little tiny feet, all moving in a wave.

Soft, fuzzy little caterpillar. Little legs grabbing onto the clover, munching away. I've submitted it to My BAMONA for ID.
The moths are beginning to gather in the night. It also looks like a very good year for the butterflies. My milkweed is flourishing and I hope the Monarch butterfly population will explode with the excellent conditions: lots of moisture, lots of food and I don't use chemicals on the lawn. The White admirals, Eastern swallowtail, are plentiful.

Cute, fuzzy fellow. I think that's the kind that was eating my lantana leaves.

Gorgeous golden guy!!! (Mind you, I too would be cautious as I have had very nasty reactions to hairy caterpillars...) Happy weekend! YAM xx
