Take a long walk off of a short pier

Cats love hole!
I heard this story, had to check it out. When I did so, I realized that she wasn't the only one! I was searching for this article, and my search engine (Ecosia) knows it's happening everywhere. It helped me figure out that people are falling off cliffs and piers, into holes and canals!

Many are at the beck and call of their devices. Some, for an important immediate connection to work, others want to connect with family and friends.

I am surprised, when visiting with family, how that ping tells them they have a Facebook message. It makes it easy to connect with family, despite my son living in Vancouver, I can get ahold of him when I need to or want to, even though he is three hours behind out time. Jesse Martyn is an actor, and always waiting for audition messages from his agent! Plus he and his fiancé are planning a wedding this spring!

It must change the way they live their lives, though. Does one turn off the phone at night? Many have eschewed land lines, relying only on a mobile phone. Here are the stories I have found.

The headlines are good for a chuckle!

A teen who was text messaging while walking down a New York street falls into a manhole. WABC's NJ Burkett reports.

The exact same search appears in Google search bar or if you want visual comedy, just try it in the tubular thing... Wherever you find it, it demonstrates the nature of dependence. I have even had a good friend, when asked to please put her phone off during our meal together, tell me she couldn't do that in case **** called with his dinner order.

Whatever happened to messagebanks. Can nobody delay non-essential communications these days???

......this is a pet soap-box item of mine so I better stop here! &*<>

I did miss those, Red. I was afraid of making the post too grim. Too many have lost young kids driving into things. These, hopefully, are lessons learned!

My husband has a hard time disconnecting from facebook. I check it about once a day. And I do turn off my phone at night.
