Two teens are missing from their campsite in Bon Echo Park

Bon Echo park
Dreary morning at 11 a.m.
UPDATE: The pair of wanderers were found around 6 p.m., they were taken by helicopter back to civilisation to be checked out by
paramedics. Between the dogs, police, and the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre,
I knew it would have a happy ending.

"More than 25 members from the OPP’s emergency response team were involved in the search for the girls, including canine handlers, two helicopters, and marine and ATV teams, as well as park staff."

Members of the OPP Emergency Response
Team; the canine unit and an OPP helicopter, are continuing the search along with officers from the Napanee detachment.

Today, as I organized my photos, I just heard that two teen girls went for a walk at 10 a.m. in the park, just before the storm got going, and have not returned to their campsite: Hardwood Hill.

There was much thunder and lightning at the time. We arrived at 11:00 a.m., but the boat tour was justifiably cancelled. We drove out.

It wasn't a great day for campers. I snapped photos as we drove out of the park in the afternoon.
At 9:30 it was dumping rain.

Most were well-prepared on Aug. 22nd.
By afternoon it was just raining.
Reports from sources say police have spread their search to the Pringle Lake area, just west of the park, which is just south of where they were camping.

There were quite a few in the park, other campers told us it was busy.

It's quite a distance to Pringle Lake from their campsite.
The girls went for a walk, news sources say, and it would be easy to get lost once you were off the beaten track. The park is large.

The trees have already been
harvested and this is new growth.

Oh, that's so awful, Jenn. They look like sweet girls, too, not like the kind who would deliberately take off. I hope they are found safe and sound.

I heard about this in the news, I hope they are found, and the weather is not too cold.

I've enjoyed all of your photos from Bon Echo Park. The cliffs and the lakes are beautiful. I hope these two girls are found safe and sound.

It's easy to get lost in woods like that if you don't have experience. I hope they are safe and will be found.
