I noticed several heads turned towards the back 40. Along came Buster Brown, my 2-year-old cat. He likes to herd them. Today, however, he backed off and headed towards the feeder. That is where the dreaded red squirrel sits and taunts him.
I never thought I would ever see deer being herded by a cat! But then, we have no cats around our deer except ours, and he lives a life of being an indoor fella.

I'm surprised that these animals don't have the heavy winter coat. Our deer have very very heavy coats.
