Snowfall yesterday, rainfall today!

Rain, snow, sleet or hail! Southern Ontario
-15 in Whitehorse, -18 Ottawa, -32 Yellowknife
We've had quite the range in temperatures across Canada. I am always fascinated by them. Last week we dipped to -25 C., and this week they are going to be several degrees above zero (32 F.).

They are calling for 6 hours of freezing rain today.

I love getting outdoors for a purpose, but not in this! Walking the cats in the forest, capturing great shots of flora or fauna, they make winter fun!

My purpose Monday, after a lovely pre-booked massage was to get 10cm (4") of snow off of out 100m driveway. It was light and fluffy.
It took me about 40 minutes wrestling the snowblower, which negated the lovely effects of the massage. <Sigh>

I am WOMAN hear me roar!
10 cm!
It was one of those storms and the funny thing was that by the time I finished – I needed to start again!
Front step: Dad's trusty ruler.
It is triangular and stand up well!
Angel is moral support! Cats, not so much.

I just wanted to get most of the snow off of the driveway, anticipating freezing rain and a warm-up this week. After I was done I went indoors for a hot cup of lemon tea.
Brave Buster Brown was keen on getting outdoors. Those dratted red squirrels bothering his birds at the feeder!
See the snow on his back?!

Our World Tuesday
Meanwhile, back indoors, the kittens are nuts. They don't want to go outdoor much. They're in and out, up and down.

Quite the leap! Adorable Daisy, the jumper, can balance on the back of a chair, as well.

The kittens have the right idea! Stay inside. Our snow from yesterday has become a glazed sheet of ice on cars and road. Luckily, our medical appt was rescheduled. So we will be inside looking out, like the kittens. Stay warm Jenn!

I am thinking I will feel safer if the freezing rain falls on top of the snow on the steps and walkway. At least it will be easier to remove. Or not, since tomorrow is supposed to be plain old rain...

We had thunderstorms here this morning! I love the little red squirrel, we don't see them in Southern Ontario.

Sorry to say but keeping active is what it's all about and you're doing that. At first I thought you were shoveling. Wresting a snow blower can sometimes be as challenging as shoveling.
Hand on tight for the next snow or rain or whatever we get.

Snowblower first, massage afterward. Too bad the weather dictates otherwise sometimes.
Always fun to go out and in and out again with you and Buster and the kittens.

Am I glad I don't have to deal with cold like this! It would be miserable living in the city... yeah, squirrels can be quite a bother, no matter where they are:)
Keep warm!

Weather around the country has been so weird. My daughter tells me they had 62 degrees in Chicago. Incredible for January but I understand it's going to drop in a few days.
